Daniel asks…

what are the laws for a 13 year to drive a motor or go kart?

because they say you cant but they sell kids motorbikes in uk and also do you knowany kid racing clubs

Administrator answers:

If you are on private land to which the general public has no access (and you have the land owner’s permission, of course), you can do as you please.

As soon as you go anywhere to which there is public access, whether a public street or private land which is open to the public (e.g. A supermarket car park), you will start coming under the various traffic laws requiring insurance, license, etc.

So basically, as a 13-year-old you need to find privately owned land, not open to the public, and get the owner’s permission, then it’s all quite legal.

Mandy asks…

Is it illegal in the UK to mod a motorbike, like an new exhaust?

Lets say I want a new exhaust instead of my stock on my Ninja 250, would it be illegal to put a Two Brothers slip on exhaust?

Administrator answers:

The exhaust would have to be suitable for road use and any modification must be apparent on your insurance document. If they don’t know about any modifications then it will render it useless.
