Ruth asks…

Can i go buy a bike and get it licensed and insured without a motorcycle drivers licence to take the test?

I took the written test and passed it they told me they dont have learners permits and to come back with a licensed and insured motorcycle withing 3 months or i would have to retake the test. So can i go buy a bike and get it licensed and insured without a motorcycle drivers licence? What am i supposed to do? Thanks!

Administrator answers:

I can where I live (Arizona). You don’t need a license to buy a motorcycle or insurance here.

Thomas asks…

Can I purchase a car and register it in my name with a learners permit?

I wanted to purchase a car but I don’t have my drivers license. I was gonna go get my permit before I purchased the car and I wanted to know if I could purchase a car with just a learners permit. I reside in North Carolina.

Administrator answers:

Sure, but when you register it in your name without a license you will have a very hard time getting insurance on it, and without that you can’t drive it.

In fact, on checking the NC web page, you won’t even be able to register it. To cut and paste that section:

Insurance requirements within North Carolina require that you provide a proof of insurance when registering your vehicle.

So, yes, you can purchase, but no you can’t register it in your name.

Lisa asks…

How to overcome the fear of driving?

See i know its a silly question but please help me if you can i dont have a driving licence yet even not learners permit but i usually drive on public highways but i always afraid that what if i get caught now i want to overcome this fear can you help me with this?

Administrator answers:

Ha ha! I like your style, rock on! I take it you’re a decent driver, therefore I see no foul. Well, overcoming fear comes with confidence. You have to be confident in your skills, and that you haven’t gotten caught this far. Always check the car before you leave. So they won’t pull you over for a busted head light, or a dirty license plate. And come up with a plan if you do get caught. Mind you, it probably won’t work.

You’d be in deep shi*. So scary when you’re driving down the road, you see the lights and then
“License and registration please” Sometimes they pull you over to check your insurance.
