Your Questions About How To Get Cheap Insurance For New Drivers

Betty asks…

What is the cheapest car insurance company?

My auto insurance went up AGAIN! I am a safe driver! OHIO mutual is horrible!
What is a cheap insurance company? NOT SAFE AUTO>THEY SUCK

Administrator answers:

It really depends on the customer. If you have some incidents on your record, or are a driver under 25, try Safeco, Progressive or Nationwide. If you are older, or a young driver with a clean record, try The Hartford, AIG, Allstate, State Farm, Liberty Mutual. Most all of the companies will run a social security number check for insurance score (a record of your past bill paying history and employment history), they may give you a discount if you are a college graduate or own a home or take out a renter’s or homeowner’s policy with them. Make sure you get all of the possible discounts available to you. Don’t be afraid to ask. Most importantly, don’t skimp on coverage just to save $20 a year. Make sure your liability is AT LEAST 50/100/50.
Good Luck!

Ken asks…

for a 19 yr old what is the best and cheap insurance in los Angeles?

I live in los angeles and the car insurance companies wants me to pay 300.00 dollars every month and thats to much for me.

Administrator answers:

Like the previous answer, shop around, but let me tell you, right now , your age is against you because in the eyes of a insurance company, you are considered a inexperienced driver, but the factors used to determine how much you are going to pay is:

your age
your driving record
the kind of car you are driving
where you live
what will you use the car for, ( drive to work or pleasure)
if you are a male or a female, ( females are cheaper to
insure than males )

Please………just stay away from GEICO, they are a joke. I have never been with them, I know many who has, and they had nothing good to say about them.

Susan asks…

What is the best insurances for a teen in arizona?

I want a good insurance company for my son,but not to expensive.

Administrator answers:

I’m going out on a limb here, and guessing that you’re talking about CAR insurance. The LEAST expensive option, is to have him as a driver on YOUR policy.

There’s NO cheap teen car insurance – but your agent can explain some methods specific to YOUR situation, to help you minimize the cost.

Carol asks…

Reducing car insurance for young drivers?

I have an idea of how to reduce my insurance for young drivers like myself, and it goes like this, I buy a motorcycle for about £10 to nothing(it could be broken I don’t care), with this motorcycle I insure it for about £100, because insuring a motorcycle is a lot cheaper than insuring a car, then for a year I have no claims with this motorcycle, would this then reduce the cost of my insurance premium for a car?

Administrator answers:

Won’t work because bike ncb doesn’t transfer to a car. Also bike insurance is still expensive, like £600.

Sharon asks…

What is the best insurance company for a young driver?

I am 21 years old and looking for car insurance. What do you guys recommend from any experiences or friends recommendeations. I drive a Ford Mustang by the way.

Administrator answers:

21 driving ford mustang. LOL. You are going to get nailed. Until you are 25 and married. Then the mustang is still going to hurt. Beware of cheap deals, they save you some now but may not be the easiest to get repairs taken care of later, also may drop you the first time they pay out.

Ruth asks…

Insure my car with a parent as primary driver?

I’m in Toronto, it will be cheaper on my insurance to be listed as a secondary driver. But can the title still be in my name?

Administrator answers:

Let me explain insurance fraud, being deceptive, so, its your car, who is primary? (you) get it? First accident you get in, the story falls apart, list yourself as primary, unless it is your parents car. Otherwise, if something happens, and the insurance company finds deception, they refuse to pay the claim, and charge you with fraud. Meanwhile, the dmv will suspend your license for an uninsured accident, (and this is just the beginning) I dont know how much cheaper it is, but personally, you need the insurance company, ONE YOUR SIDE! Pay the few extra bucks, the peace of mind for doing it right is huge. Best of luck, sometimes choices suck, but thats how it goes.

Robert asks…

What is the cheapest affordable insurance for an 18 year old male?

Alright so I am 18, I live at home, and I need to pay for my own insurance. I go to high school full time, I have good grades and I have taken drivers ed. I work 30 + Hours a week and make about 800 per month. I have about $6000 saved up to but a car plus insurance, I have found a 2005 KIA rio for $3500. I already have tags to put. My parents are very poor, both receive social security, and I am the youngest of five. Is there any possible way I could get insurance for $300 a month minimal coverage. If anyone has any ideas, or advice please let me know.
Thank You
I am stumped about what my potential options are, Help in this dilemma would be much appreciated.
I have already called geico because this is what my parents car insurance is under, they have said that they it will double or triple my parents insurance Which they are very angry about. They said they want me on my own policy and not on their’s.

Administrator answers:

There’s no “one size fits all” cheapest. Liability only is going to run you around $3000 a year on your own policy. That’s just the way it is. And, that’s under $300 a month, just.

Since “do it yourself” insurance isn’t working for you, how about calling a local agent.

Richard asks…

What company has the very cheapest car insurance for Tennessee?

I just need the bare minimum insurance. Which is the cheapest?

Administrator answers:

I don’t know how old you are, but you may want to read this article.

There is no cheapest company though. Price is relevant only to the insurance company demands. All companies try to get a balance of both young drivers and older drivers and they vary their prices slightly to achieve this balance. Rates change very rapidly in the insurance industry. You will have to shop around for the best rates for you.
